Create a charming autumn luminary using colorful leaves and a mason jar, perfect for adding warmth to your home during the fall season.
Materials
- Mason jar (any size)
- Colorful autumn leaves (real or faux)
- Mod Podge or clear-drying craft glue
- Paintbrush
- Small candle (tea light or votive)
- Scissors (optional, for trimming leaves)
- Ribbon or twine (optional, for decoration)
Instructions
- Prepare the mason jar by cleaning it thoroughly.
- Arrange the leaves around the jar to determine their placement.
- Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to a small section of the jar, then place the first leaf.
- Continue layering leaves in an overlapping fashion.
- Seal the leaves with a final layer of Mod Podge and allow to dry completely.
- Add the candle inside the jar.
Notes
Dry-fit the leaves before gluing for the best design. Allow Mod Podge layers to dry completely.
