Description

A colorful and cheerful DIY project to welcome the fall season into your home with a playful garland made of layered autumn leaves.

Materials

  • Colored tissue paper in various autumn hues (red, orange, yellow, green)
  • Clear packing tape
  • Scissors
  • String or fishing line
  • A hole puncher
  • Natural twigs (optional for a rustic look)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Leaves: Start by cutting the colored tissue paper into shapes that mimic autumn leaves.
  2. Layer the Colors: Take your first leaf shape and lay a second one of a different color on top, slightly offsetting them to create a layered look.
  3. Secure the Leaves: Using clear packing tape, carefully seal the edges of each layered leaf.
  4. String and Assemble: Use a hole puncher to create a hole near the top of each leaf and thread your string or fishing line through.
  5. Finish Up: Once all leaves are strung, tie off the ends of your string and ensure everything is secure.

Notes

Consider hanging the garland in a sunlit window for a magical display of colors. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight for extended periods to preserve vibrancy.
